Like its larger relative Monstera deliciosa, this vine roots from stem cuttings that include a node. A leaf without a node will not grow into a new plant, no matter how healthy it looks.

Why aren’t my leaves developing holes? Fenestrations (the characteristic holes) develop as the plant matures with good light — they won’t appear on very young cuttings right away.
