This plant grows from small underground bulbs that multiply readily. Simply separating the bulbs during a repot is the entire method — no special technique required.
Division (bulbs)
- Remove the plant from its pot during a natural dormant or resting phase (leaves often die back periodically — this is normal).
- Sift through the soil to find the small bulbs.
- Separate them and replant, several per pot, an inch or so deep.
New growth emerges in 2–4 weeks.
