Closely related to Haworthia and Aloe, Gasteria offsets readily around its base and also roots from leaves. Offsets are more reliable than leaf cuttings for this genus — leaves work but take considerably longer.

Separate rooted offsets from the base, let cut ends dry a day if needed, pot in dry succulent mix.

Leaf cutting

Remove a whole leaf, let callus 2–3 days, lay flat on dry mix.
