Stem cutting

  1. Twist off a 2–3 segment piece at a joint.
  2. Let dry and callus 2–3 days.
  3. Insert the bottom third into slightly moist cactus mix.
  4. Water sparingly.

When to propagate

Right after flowering, in spring.

Common problems

Segment shriveled and rotted. Didn’t callus fully, or overwatered.
