Like other Dracaena, this plant roots from cane sections laid in soil, and also from leafy tip cuttings. Bare cane sections are the easiest and most foolproof method — nearly any healthy piece of stem will sprout.

Cane cutting

Cut bare woody sections, half-bury horizontally or stand upright in moist mix.

Stem cutting

Cut a leafy top section with some bare stem, root in water or soil.

When to propagate

Spring through summer.

Common problems

Nothing for weeks. Normal — this genus is slow but reliable if the cane stays firm.
