A relative of String of Pearls with upright, finger-like leaves, propagated just as easily. Cut sections callus and root reliably in dry soil.

Stem cutting

  1. Cut 3–4 inch sections.
  2. Let callus 1–2 days.
  3. Insert an inch into dry succulent mix.

When to propagate

Spring and summer.

Common problems

Cutting rotted. Not enough callusing time or too much water.

Questions people ask

Why is it powdery blue? A natural waxy coating that helps reflect intense sun in its native habitat — handle gently, as it rubs off easily.
