How to Propagate Olive

Olive roots slowly but fairly reliably from semi-hardwood cuttings. Consistent bottom heat noticeably speeds up this otherwise slow rooter.

Stem cutting

1. Take a 4–6 inch semi-hardwood cutting.
2. Wound the base lightly, dip in rooting hormone.
3. Insert into a sandy, well-draining mix.
4. Bottom heat if available; keep humid.
