Coleus roots in water almost as fast as mint. Cut below a node and expect visible roots within a week or two — this is one of the fastest and most forgiving cuttings on this site.
Water propagation
- Cut a 4–5 inch stem below a node.
- Strip lower leaves, place in water.
- Bright indirect light, change water every few days.
Growing from seed
Sow shallowly in moist mix; germinates in 1–2 weeks with warmth.
