One of the easier flowering shrubs to root from cuttings. Softwood tip cuttings taken in late spring root fastest and most reliably.

Stem cutting

  1. Cut a 4–5 inch non-flowering tip.
  2. Strip lower leaves.
  3. Insert into moist, well-draining mix.

When to propagate

Late spring through summer.

Common problems

Cutting wilted. Cover loosely for humidity if wilting occurs quickly.
